From the age of 18, my creative life has been driven, guided and influenced by three superb mentors. Forty years later, the groundwork provided by these mentors has helped me found and maintain one of the most successful non-fiction film companies in America which has garnered multiple Emmy nominations including three Statues and a prestigious George F Peabody Award for journalism. Most importantly, the film business sent me around the world to film fascinating people in every imaginable setting! I consider myself to be the most fortunate of people. I also appreciate that without the influence and help of these three mentors, my life would have been very different, and I suspect, nowhere near as successful and fulfilling.

The generous offer  to me from a former Mentor to start and fund Mentor.Me is an opportunity that leaves me unable to properly express my gratitude. I am no longer working full time at the job of making films, but Lone Wolf and my wife are as busy as ever. I have the time to teach and lecture as well as participate in supervising films, both professionally and educationally. Even without Mentor.Me, I would continue to ‘pay-forward’ the mentoring gift that I was given. With Mentor.Me I can broaden the landscape of how, who and where I can lend assistance. Lastly, Mentor.Me will exist as a vibrant and ongoing tribute to my own mentors; artists and teachers whom I will never forget and will always feel indebted to.
