We help filmmakers at any stage find their path and bring their vision across the finish line—because no filmmaker succeeds alone.

Kirk Wolfinger

From the age of 18, my creative life has been driven, guided, and influenced by three superb mentors. Forty years later, the groundwork they provided has helped me found and maintain one of the most successful non-fiction film companies in America, garnering multiple Emmy nominations—including three statuettes—and a prestigious George F. Peabody Award for journalism. Most importantly, the film business sent me around the world to film fascinating people in every imaginable setting. I consider myself deeply fortunate; without the influence and help of those three mentors, my life would have been very different, and I suspect, nowhere near as successful or fulfilling.

The generous offer from a former mentor to start and fund Mentor My Film is an opportunity that leaves me unable to properly express my gratitude. While I am no longer making films full-time, Lone Wolf and my wife are as busy as ever, and I now have the time to teach, lecture, and supervise films both professionally and educationally. Even without Mentor My Film, I would continue to pay forward the mentoring gift I was given. With it, however, I can broaden the landscape of how, who, and where I can help. Lastly, Mentor My Film will stand as a vibrant, ongoing tribute to my own mentors—artists and teachers whom I will never forget and to whom I will always feel deeply indebted.
